It was really fun to discover the Sri Lanka with Mahinda. With my family we are used to traveling and it was without doubt the best guide we have had so far

Amazing trip with Travel with Mahinda. After a short email correspondens with Mahinda about what we wanted to experience in Sri Lanka, he gave us a good suggested travel route, from which we came up with a revised route together. We were happy with the hotels and the organization. We always felt safe and cared for and will happily recommend Travel with Mahinda to anyone who wants a great holiday in Sri Lanka!

The 1st of 10 countries we visited over 6 months of our honeymoon.
It couldn’t have been a nicer start being greeted by Modi at the airport in Columbo. We had a broken itenary as we were taking some R&R before moving anywhere. Modi greeted us with flowers for my wife (what a gentlemen) and water. He took us for a quick bite and took us 3 hours to Ahungalla. We stayed there for 4 days before we moved on to Kandy. That’s where Modi really paid dividends. He took us to our hotel and on the way stopped off at some great Buddhist temples. We stayed the night and then he met as in the morning to go to Sigiriya. He kindly led us right to the entrance and handled everything ensuring we had easy access. He waited for us at the other side and took us back into Kandy once again. The next day he met us bright and early and took us on a bespoke tour of all things worth seeing in Kandy. We went to the temple of the tooth and many amazing Buddhist temples and statues. He was a guide also and is incredibly knowledgeable.

We are a swiss family with our 9 years old daughter.
We spent 2 weeks in Sri Lanka with Sumith, one of the driver of the Company “Travel with Mahinda”.It was a great experience. The country is beautiful with many different landscapes, full of nature and animals and nice people.Sumith is very friendly, always available, professional and drives safely. He knows very well his country, roads, hotels and touristic sites. So we didn’t loose time and see all the things we would like and more. We discovered Touristic areas but also local places, food and culture.
He was also an excellent guide, giving explanation about history ,culture and visiting sites.
Tourist Attractions

Surfing in Arugambay
-Sri Lanka is a famous surfing destination that caters to all experience levels. There are waves for learning how to stand on a surf board and there are tubes over shallow waters with sea urchins that make the wave even more exciting.

Snorkeling in Hikkaduwa
Snorkeling is the best way to view underwater life in the shallow seas of Sri Lanka. The snorkeling gear can be bought or rented in the area. Almost every beachside shop has them. Snorkeling helps view the corals and shoals of fish without damaging them. You can also see the colorful live corals that live somewhat deeper.

Sigiriya Rock
Sigiriya Rock Fortress is located on a flat surface of a gigantic
gneiss rock that towers dramatically. Its vertical walls rise up forming a kingdom of Kassapa where now only the ruins of an ancient civilization exist. In addition, in order to get there, if you are brave enough, you will have to climb a series

Whale Watching in Mirissa
To see aBlue Whale in its natural habitat is something most of us can only dream of. To see more than one in a lifetime would be very rare experience reserved for a fortunate lot.The ever smiling, mischievous dolphins will put on a show while some of the oldest and the largest sea creatures, the humpback and the blue whales, will nonchalantly glide past you, when you embark on a whale/ dolphin watching excursion off the Southern, Eastern or the West coast of Sri Lanka.

Hot Air Balloon
A great way to experience the exhilaration of flight with a bird’s eye view of the area below, a silent ride through the sky, an excursion that has caught on fast with locals and tourist alike is
hot air ballooning, drifting gently over the cultural triangle, or a wildlife park in a hot air balloon will be unforgettable, actually nothing beats a hot air balloon excursion across the central plains in our opinion.

Adams Peak
Peak-Jutting sharply skyward from the lush jungles of southwestern Sri Lanka is the 7362 foot (2243 meter) peak of Sri Pada, the 'Holy Footprint'. Also called Adam's Peak, the mountain has the unique distinction of being sacred to the followers of four of the world&'s major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. Long before the development of these religions,
